ORASNICE - Walnut Meringue Crescents

Orasnice are the finest cookies in the world. They are made of only three ingredients: egg whites, sugar and walnuts. These cookies are gluten-free, full of walnuts with a great texture.They are crunchy, chewy, nutty and mouthwatering.

You need: 

3 egg whites, at room temperature
1 1/2 cup (300g) sugar
2 1/2 cup (300g) ground walnuts
2 1/2 cup (300g) roughly chopped walnuts


Beat the egg whites while adding sugar until stiff peaks form.
Add ground walnuts to the beaten egg whites and mix them.
Preheat an oven to 260F (125C). 
Prepare a large cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
Take 1 tablespoon of meringue and roll it over chopped walnuts with your hands.
Shape it into a crescent and place on the baking sheet.
Do the same with the rest.
Bake the cookies for about 30 minutes.
Take them out from the oven and leave them for 5 minutes on the baking sheet. 
Serve them with tea or coffee.
